WHAT HAPPENED?
In virtually every window since Raphinha joined Barcelona from Leeds in the summer of 2022 for an initial £49 million ($63m), which has since risen to £55m ($70m) with add-ons, he has been linked with a transfer exit. He has scored 20 goals and bagged 25 assists in 87 games but that has not stopped reports suggesting the 27-year-old – who is out of contract in 2027 – could be heading for pastures new. Now, claims while Barca value Raphinha a lot, they may sacrifice him for Diaz, if they can lure the Colombian away from Anfield.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Following Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool departure, a number of important players have been linked with a summer transfer move. However, the Reds are unlikely to part ways with their Colombian winger as they try to ensure a smooth transition into Arne Slot's new Liverpool era. Despite that, Barcelona have reportedly made buying a new left winger a top priority but Diaz's contract runs until 2027 so it will take a big fee to secure his services.
